Milky Way

The milky way, a ‘thing’ in the big space around our globe, has always fascinated me. One night during my stay at Schiermonnikoog there was such a clear sky, that I had to try a milky way shot. I never did it before, because there aren’t many places in Holland where it’s that dark (read: lights are everywhere!). I made a testshot of  a tree with the milky way at the background and I was blown

Kananaskis

It was already late in the evening and we were still in ‘Kananaskis’ park. We had to hurry, however I wanted to stop here, because what I saw was just pure nature. The moss that covered the rocks and fallen trees in a beautiful green blanket. Not a tree was straight and the river searched his way through the many obstacles that had arisen over the years. You don’t often see more natural landscape than on this shot. T

Mount Saint Piran

I will never forget the day that I shot this photo. I went together with my two mates to Banff National Park, when we got the idea to go off road and climbing to the top of a mountain. With about eight kg camera gear on my back we climbed for three hours before we reached the top of mount Saint Piran. Totally exhausted I captured some shots, because the view was phenomenal. This print is available as: Wood frame with

End of Summer

Located next to the well-known Banff National Park, the Rocky Mountains has a true beauty called Yoho National Park, which stands for the pristine natural character of Canada. The clear turquoise Lake Emerald, the trees ready for the fall and the colored canoes on the edge of the lake, gave an amazing picture of the ‘End of Summer’. This print is available as: Wood frame with passe partout. – Frame colours: bla

Rocky Sunrise

Early in the morning we drove from Calgary to Jasper National Park. The weather forecast was a beautiful sunny day with quite a few clouds. However when we arrived in the park, we were welcomed by a heavy snowstorm. While we continued our way through the fresh snow, slowly it became light. We parked the car on the side of the road and waited in de icy cold for the ‘Rocky Sunrise’. This print is available as: Wood fra

Tuscan Meadow

During the summer I was nearby the places San Gimignano, San Quirico, Pienza and Montepulciano. It is known as the heart of the beautiful Tuscan landscape. At the end of the day I had to make a choice in this amazing landscape where I was going to photograph the sunset. I searched for a simple composition, which was full of color and would contain the feeling of the Tuscan landscape. Knowing that Tuscany is photograp

Inviting Forest

Once a year the Hallerbos is covered with a carpet of purple wild hyacinths. When the beech leaves begin to bloom, it is a matter of days before the annual scene disappears. My quest for the perfect scene lasted a whole day. I still was not satisfied with the result, because I was looking for something truly special. During the hike I deviated from the main path and took a side road. With the thought that it came to

Sunday Forest

For many people, Sunday morning is that part of the week to lie long in bed and sleep in, but for me, this day began as a perfect day to shoot. The cloudy weather and fog stayed with me until Belgium and the cold maintained behind, it couldn’t be better! After arriving at my destination, the fog had disappeared and it rained for 4 hours! Because rain can be quite disastrous for your equipment and rain protection is s
